Tigerfest: Dashboard Confessional
First and foremost congratulations to Towson Tigers left tackle Jermon Bushrod for his fourth round NFL draft pick with the New Orleans Saints.
My day started Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Towson vs. John Hopkins lacrosse game. Towson lost by two. I have to brag for a sentence or two. I am now 11-2 on the season with TU men's lax predictions. I may have mentioned that in an earlier post, but today added another correct prediction.
Anyways, good game, but Rabil is a beast. I wouldn't be surprised to see JHU in the NCAA tournament.
After the game I hung out with my brothers and parents since today is my brother Keith's birthday. We went to out for lunch to celebrate a little.
From there I headed over to a rainy Tigerfest, where Dashboard Confessional headlined.
Although everyone at Towson talked about how great Tigerfest was, I didn't find it that great of an event. As someone documenting the event, everyone just stood around drunk. They had some carnival type games and such, but what college kid wants to have a carnival? They did have a beer garden, but from what I gathered it's nothing great and they are very strict.
It wasn't until Dashboard play that I started getting the type of shots I was looking for. Girls showing their... I mean moshing, crowd surfing, cheering, screaming and band action.
I put the shot above to show something different then the typical band shots I got. Somehow I got to shoot the entire performance instead of just the first two songs. So, I pretty much had all my shots early. I decided to fool around until the end of the show, getting some pretty creative shots.
I've uploaded a bunch more on my Flickr Page.
