Midtown

"On a rainy afternoon, passerby make their way up the street in midtown Manhattan, in New York, Ny., on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012."

Spent a couple days in New York City to let my mouth and feet get some exercise.

In other words, I met some new editors, visited with those befriended before, as well as, walked miles on miles in the city. Not to mention, while business related, caught up with some friends, too.

It's cliche to say, but New York is full of energy. I could walk for days looking at passerby and making my mind up where to go at every corer. And when I wasn't on my feet, it was another place by another train.

My eye caught this scene after I got off the bus and walked through midtown, through the upper east side and then back down through midtown.

In my mind, there is nothing better than a mindless walk with a camera. Sometimes you see. Other times you don't. But it's all exercise, one way or another, at the end of the day.

I hope to get back up there again soon, until then I'll have reminisce this trip.

Face foul

"Cody Zeller #40 of the Indiana Hoosiers is fouled in the face by Tim Frazier #23 of the Penn State Nittany Lions during the second half at the Bryce Jordan Center on January 8, 2012 in State College, Pennsylvania. The Indiana Hoosiers won, 88-82."

Since I am waiting for some images to run before I share, and since I haven't blogged in a couple weeks, I thought I'd dig into last month for a post.

This was from the first week of the year when I was sent to Penn State for the introduction of the new football head coach.

While the aforementioned was my primary assignment, I shot the game action, too. This is one of the few action frames from the game I liked.

Depending on when some of these recent assignments run, I may dip back into January again.
